Blue Jet or Spirit Airlines? My first flight with Spirit Airlines from ORD.

The flight is a Red Eye and that's not so unusual for me, but what shocked to me was that they charged $40 for a carry-on bag and $38 for check-in bag. How in the world did they come up with that? They told me that you can go online and get a discounted luggage registration to avoid/discount such fees.

Too bad on this, as their overall services aren't too bad.
