This New Year's photo of Mt. Fuji from my friend's backyard.
Mt. Fuji is said to be a bringer of good luck in Japan and that is why I wanted to share this with everyone. Despite the recent global warming concerns making Mt. Fuji less snow-coverage at the top of the mountain, this year seems to be much more winter-like than recent winters. The Japanese also enjoy during the several days after the New Year in a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
People getting more and more hectic each day, but hope this picture reminds you to step back and relax a little bit. We appreciate Miura-san's friendship and business for sending his beautiful pictures of different faces of Japan every month.
