Beautiful Chicago Triathlon.
Start of the Swim: Fun and exciting moment of the race with the starters hyping every waves of starting teams, asking any FBIs? any Marines? any TSAs? Now, if you are TSA, you may only bring in 3oz of bottled water with zip locks. : )
Anyway, it was the toughest work out today, with few kicks in my belly which almost got me drawned in the first 30m of swim (a lot narrower start lanes in the Olympic Distance) and with broken saddle screw last night that made me a brutal 40km bike as if I did not have a saddle. As a result, great stomach and back pain after the bike without literary no saddle and had to walk the run but great to have made it back to the finishing line in one piece.
Although it was a tough race, the condition was so beautiful with the visible bottom of the Lake Michigan for the first time.
